Welcome to our global treasure hunt. Open to anyone to find existing 'lost' or forgotten, unique treasures of local heritage.
Or, just feel free to look in and see what's posted! No Facebook account required for viewing results.
Kirkintilloch, a town near Glasgow, Scotland, produced an amazing treasure of ironwork production - everyday items that may be near you or around the globe; telephone kiosks, postal boxes, gates, streetlights, window surrounds or even drain covers. They came from Kirkintilloch, but sadly now many sit unrecognised or unnoticed.
The challenge enables you to find, photograph and note where and when you find any items.
You can declare your find by posting your find online to the Challenge social media - uploading your pics and writing a short piece about your find.
I will then add it to our MyMap.
Item already posted? Post an update! This indicates if items are still there - or changed!
All posts are added to the MyMap.
Look at our map of finds to see what we've located so far!
In doing so, you help celebrate the legacy and be credited online in a fun way.
Find out more here, but be aware - it will stay in your head forever!
* A huge thanks to those who have taken part so far, this website is especially for you.
